Runaway raindrops

There were showers yesterday. It started with a drizzle and then there were sheets of water. I could not capture that amazing 'fall', but I managed to transfix the raindrops. From two angles, two ways of seeing something that would not even stay long enough...now that I have them, can they ever escape?

jab ghunghroo si bajati hai boonde
armaan hamaare palake na moonde
kaise dekhe sapane nayan
sulag sulag jaae man

rim-jhim gire saawan, sulag sulag jaae man
bheege aaj is mausam mein, lagi kaisi ye agan

(From: 'Manzil', music R.D.Burman)

It's funny how the rain inspires and moves everyone. I loved yesterday and today is beautiful too. Reminds me of a song, U2 - Beautiful Day.

And today it is sunny...some things are universally inspiring.

All may be true but RD will always be remembered by Churaliya hai - talking of all things universally inspiring.

FV SAYS And today it is sunny...some things are universally inspiring.

Reply And somethings like love for terrorists like Afzal and hatred for their innocent victims like kashmiri hindus, always inspire evil PSEUDOSECULAR perverts like FV just like the sun.

Anon #1:

A said some things are universally inspiring, not all...

RD, indeed...

My list is long, but offhand..

aaj kal paaon zameen par..

chingari koi bhadke

gum hai kisi ke pyaar mein

hamein aur jeene ki chaahat na hoti

huzoor iss kadar bhi na itaraa ke chaliye...

Nuff...

PS: I am beginning to worry. People won't even give their names/nics for posts like the one on RD?

I didn't say 'all' things are universally inspiring - I was however talking about things that inspire universally, which is a subset of all things. In the set theoretic sense, a set of all things is a universal set, 'all things universally inspiring' being a subset of all things. QED

We can get into further semantics about the very idea behind 'universalism'...that makes it 'all'
...therefore the sum of the some is still appealing to all.

I need a name to talk to.

The sum of the some is defined as the norm of the set. Norm is the measure of how big the set is - clearly, the norm of 'all things that inspire' is smaller than that of the universal set of all things. The two are equal when all things inspire every one ...not what I implied, nor you.

Call me what you will ... one more name won't hurt me.
