I have been away, am still away. Complete hibernation is rarely possible. This space and time far from the familiar strangeness has been good. It has been days of work and days of introspection, more than I normally do.To wake up at 4 am and wait for the sunrise is an amazing experience. I have done my share of waiting, and like all other kinds of waiting this too has its moments of surprises. The first morning I saw a most brilliant sight – a blob of orange that had not yet been lightened by the brightness it awaited. I did not want to capture it. I thought…there is tomorrow. The next day, there were clouds. Not one to be disheartened, I took a picture of the clouds.
I would look out of the window and keep vigil. A couple of days ago, I saw that blob again and it left a trail along the sky’s canvas and sprinkled the trees with sunbeam.
Sometimes, one feels humbled before Nature. This time I felt proud. Proud that I was a part of this very Nature. The sun smiled again. As I type this the room is awash with light. Clarity can often be disconcerting. Today, I look at the specks of dust, so visible, and think of how they too have contributed to my life. Dust is an indicator that it is time to clean things up.
