But the generalisations are there, because we need to take economics into consideration. I happen to know some Brahmins who have participated in strenuous sports. It also has to do with culture where people are trained for certain things and this conditioning may not always mean ill; it is just that the exposure is limited to certain aspects. If the argument were true, the way you put it, then we would have very many athletes and footballers because we do have many Dalits.

However, the larger picture is indeed grim in many other spheres.FVnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16761020.post-68704277832352940112009-08-20T14:05:19.472+05:302009-08-20T14:05:19.472+05:30You know why india sucks at sports read this -

I too was told I had a runners body and a style with potential - if not for my English teacher, who thought I'd be better off reading D.H., okay Dickens. There is something special about 100m, it's unlike any sport. There is little time to recover from a stumble. My sense is, it has something to do with minds ability to slow down the perception of time for the body to react. Its like being in a crash - momentarily everything moves in super slomo. Of course one must have the body to react to the few borrow fractions of a second.

Best greetings to youmoonbatnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16761020.post-26174616417680996582009-08-19T13:24:30.056+05:302009-08-19T13:24:30.056+05:30Anon:
