"There's a place that I know
It's not pretty there and few have ever gone
If I show it to you now
Will it make you run away
Or will you stay
Even if it hurts
Even if I try to push you out
Will you return?
And remind me who I really am
Please remind me who I really am
Everybody's got a dark side"

  1. Why so sad, FV? Cheer up, dear.

  2. amazing song - I don't believe FV is Sad but ....

  3. Al:

Is it you of the many-splendoured comments, and the disappearances and justvas sudden appearances? Of course, it is. Who else would know that fine sadness, and fine madness?

    I survive with it...

  4. That part is open to discussion :)

  5. Hello FV, Yes, me again, this time without a straitjacket. Has been a while since we discussed the right way for a dude to wear an abaya_niqab undetected in strange foreign lands if the situation warranted.

Glad to see you allow comments on your blog again. :-) Last I recall, you got mad at someone or something a little while ago and closed off comments, which made me sad. So I just wandered off into the mysterious woods of the interwebs chasing butterflies, eating wild flowers, loitering aimlessly.

Glad to see you continue to write prodigiously as always. Good work!

Cheers big ears (that is just a turn of the phrase, I am sure you have lovely ears).

  6. Al:

Has it been that long? Indeed, I had stopped comments and not due to some rightwing stuff but the silence of the liberals over an issue.

How wonderful it might have been to eat wild flowers and chase butterflies. More satisfying than human contact, real or virtual, that can be just as ephemeral.

Regarding my ears, the inner one is a bit Mernier ;-)

A state of mind is never open to discussion. Perception, yes!
