Sunday ka Funda

“I don't believe in people just hoping. We work for what we want. I always say that one has no right to hope without endeavor, so we work to try and bring about the situation that is necessary for the country, and we are confident that we will get to the negotiation table at one time or another.”

  1. 'Twas a shame women serving the empire in the military had to be glorified in the video. Seeing the Queen of England made me laugh for some reason. Far too many entertainers and hardly any Eleanor Roosevelt types. I guess the entertainers is all we'd recognize. Where was Arundhati Roy? (lol)

Okay, I'm done complaining for the day.

Hope you had a pleasant weekend, FV.

There are times when one likes to watch different perceptions. You are right about the women, but to be a part of the empire was also a choice. As for the queen, I prefer they had her instead of, say, Pippa Middleton, who has contemporary tributes paid to her.

As regards the non-inclusion of some, I suppose it isn't for their lack of entertainment. That's for sure!

It was a good enough weekend. Hope your Sunday's going well.

  2. FV - I had a nice Sunday. Started with a morning Yoga class which always leaves me in a state of happiness. The afternoon found me Spring cleaning in the backyard. Sunday night I was in front of the boob tube watching my one TV indulgence, Game of Thrones (season premier). Would have been nice to finish of the day falling asleep spooning a warm body, but all in all the day was pretty good regardless.

    1. Dion, here's a nice one:

      "you know the parlor trick
wrap your arms around your own body and from the back it looks like someone is embracing you her hands grasping your shirt her fingernails teasing your neck from the front it is another story you never looked so alone your crossed elbows and screwy grin you could be waiting for a tailor to fit you with a straight jacket one that would hold you really tight."
