Soldiers on parade

I don't like this. It is about the World Military Games; we might have liked a peek into other aspects, not what our soldiers will be wearing. Fashion show? It is a demeaning term. Fashion shows are not demeaning by themselves; but each profession has a context. Here, it is wrong.

To make matters worse, the caption starts by saying, "Warriors all dressed up". And nowhere to go?

  1. Not such a bad idea, actually. Might tempt them to join the fashion industry... If every soldier in existence decides rather to take up fashion as a calling, this world be a happier place.

  3. Oh no! Do you want anon to jump in and say this is a devious plan to let the jihadis run amock?

I suggest all jihadis take to the ramp. They will surely 'scorch' it!

  4. Probably not the most relevant of places to point this out, but you tend to use the terms "jihadis" and "terrorists" synonymously...

  5. In this instance, I used it specifically mentioning what someone else would have said.

However, do point it out when it is out of context. The two are most certainly not synonymous...

Warriors exhibition is an old ancient custom which means how much cruel we could be?

  7. We do tend to display might. Hunters do. Encounter cops do. I just don't like it.
